WEDDING FACILITIES
4 - 5 acres of landscaped flower beds and borders with 9 different themed gardens, set in 17 beautiful acres with exclusive use
of all the cultivated areas for the duration of the wedding ceremony and photographs.

Large white arbor in Wine & Roses Garden, for minister to perform ceremony.  The "Wine & Roses Garden" can
accommodate seating for 100 guests.

Butterfly Garden. (This would be suitable for a couple
only wedding or a very small wedding.)


Electricity is available in most areas of the garden should it be
required for music etc.


Benches throughout the property in mostly shady areas.  Apart from
seating, they also provide great photo opportunities.



Lower deck area, for guests to sit and relax before or after
the ceremony.








Up to 100 white wedding chairs are available. Rental is $2 each plus tax. Chairs are made of oak and have a comfortable
vinyl padded seat. See photo top of page for chair layout.

FEATURES OF THE GARDEN

SMALL RECEPTIONS ONLY ( NO MORE THAN 40 GUESTS):

Coordinators can organize a small reception at the Gardens, or couples can arrange their own reception directly with
ourselves.  Rosewood Gardens
does not provide catering.  This must either be organized through your coordinator,  
self-catered, or provided by a
n outside caterer.    No hard liquor (wine/champagne toast is O.K.).   No smoking.


















We have an indoor air conditioned area with full kitchen facilities, suitable for buffet style layout, or for simple cake/punch &
nut style receptions . (Catering/Standing space only - no seating).   Two 8ft banquet tables, plus 4 ft cake/punch table are
available. Cutlery, plates, glassware, etc are
not provided and must be supplied by whoever is catering. We can supply the
tablecloths if needed.  Self catering is permitted.
















Tables and chairs are located, on our adjoining lower outdoor deck area overlooking the gardens with seating for up to 30
people*. This area can be decorated to suit,
however, care should be exercised when adding decor so there is no risk of
accidents and no damage to property.   All decorations and trash must be removed prior to leaving the premises.

*If reception is quite informal, then more people can be accommodated simply by setting out additional chairs.

On site parking is available for approx 40 average sized vehicles.
There are two parking areas, both located to right of driveway as you enter.  
1) Lower graveled car park.
2) Grassy area to the
right of driveway, which is more suitable for guests who have difficulty in walking.

Parking or driving
is not permitted on the lawned and landscaped areas to the left of the driveway as you enter, and we
ask guests to respect this and take care.

If the bride intends to use the changing room facility, which is located on the lower deck, she may drive right up the
driveway and park alongside that area if she wishes.

If more than 40 vehicles are anticipated, then busing arrangements to the garden, will have to be made ( see also
Guidelines Section.)

GUESTS' RESTROOMS
Getting ready is an important part of any bride's day.  Our indoor, air
conditioned facility is ideal for slipping on the wedding dress and touching up
hair and makeup.   Decorated in Victorian florals, the room has a
comfortable seating area; walk in closet; three full length mirrors, and a
personal restroom with vanity.


Good pre-ceremony photo opportunity.


For bride and bridesmaids use only, and possibly the "Moms".  
Located at far end of bottom deck area.
For any guest who is disabled or has difficulty in walking, there is a concrete ramp that leads on to the bottom deck area, and
another small ramp that leads to the indoor area.  
COLD DRINKS ARE AVAILABLE
RECEPTIONS
Cold drinks are available in the refrigerator located in the reception area on the lower deck.   Cans are just 75 cents each and
bottles $1 each
100 white wedding chairs are available.  This is a typical set up for our maximum capacity
     wedding and illustrates how the chairs are laid out in the Wine & Roses Garden

This small reception was organized by our coordinators.  Full buffet was catered by outside caterers.     Two 8 ft banquet tables were set up in
the indoor area for  food .   Bride and Groom paid additional $2 per chair fee to have existing buff vinyl chairs substituted for the white
wooden chairs for their reception.

This self-catered reception was organized by the bride and groom.  
Existing buff vinyl chairs  were utilized, and  they added their own
decorations to the deck area.  A "green" theme  was adopted, and the
whole effect was delightful.
LARGER WEDDINGS UP TO 100 GUESTS

We are not able to accommodate receptions for over 40 guests, and therefore recommend an offsite facility for larger
weddings, or where couples simply prefer to have a reception with more amenities.   
There are many excellent facilities close by the Gardens, and local Chambers of Commerce would be happy to supply you

Many great photo opportunity locations, including a 12 ft wide set of steps leading from the Butterfly Garden into the
partially shaded "Hummingbird Garden".    These steps have proven to be a great favorite for photographers. We have also

This  "cake , punch ,nuts & mints " style reception was
organized by one of our coordinators as part of a garden
wedding package.  One  (1) 8ft banquet table was also utlized.
