PLANNING YOUR
GARDEN WEDDING
At Rosewood Gardens we are fortunate to work with highly
experienced wedding service firms and wedding chapels
located in the Smoky Mountains area of Gatlinburg, Pigeon
Forge and Sevierville, who will plan and coordinate your
outdoor wedding/destination wedding here at the Gardens.
Click on our links page for a list, and feel free to contact them
for a quote. While we carry on with the business of
developing and maintaining the gardens, they will work with
you on a one-to-one basis. You can either choose from one of
their excellent wedding packages, or they will customize your
wedding based on requirements. For smaller weddings, their
packages may also include a reception at the Gardens. Our
planners offer a wide range of possibilities that will make
your wedding at Rosewood a day to remember for its beauty
and distinction. Whether you plan on having a simple or
elaborate wedding, you can safely leave all the arrangements
to them, and just look forward to your special day. One of
the popular options that you can include in your wedding
service is the Unity Sand Ceremony. The Unity Candle
Ceremony is not recommended for outdoor weddings because
of difficulties that may arise if it is a windy day.
Because we feel it is important to be flexible, especially in today's economy, we do offer you a choice when planning your wedding at Rosewood
Gardens. Even though we feel it is preferable to work through a wedding coordinator, we appreciate that for various reasons, you may wish to
handle all your own wedding arrangements, and purely rent Rosewood Gardens as a venue for your ceremony and possibly a small reception. The
Gardens can accommodate weddings up to a maximum of 100 guests. Receptions can be accommodated for smaller weddings, ideally no more than
30 guests. We do not offer catering, but welcome outside caterers and we also permit self-catering. There are kitchen facilities. (Click on Wedding
Facilities section for more detail). Although we take care of arranging seating in the ceremony location, we do not get involved with any other
wedding arrangements. It will be your responsibility to organize a minister, photographer, marriage license, flowers, catering etc. Of course, we are
more than happy to help you should you require recommendations for any of these services.
Please email us directly for a quote at rosewood3250@aol.com and state that you wish to do all your own wedding arrangements. Please, advise the
approximate amount of guests you expect to have, as our fees are scaled based on the size of your wedding. Fees begin at $150 for a small wedding
of 9 or less people. Should you wish to proceed on this basis, you will be dealing directly with us. We will draw up the necessary Agreement, and
deal with fees (personal check, cash/cashiers check/money order only). Please note that even though we do not accept credit cards most of our
coordinators do accept credit cards. .

ARRANGING YOUR OWN WEDDING AT THE GARDENS

Rosewood Gardens has often been described as "a photographer's dream". Wedding photographs are enhanced by the beauty of all the varied
themed gardens. Your wedding service will provide a good photographer, or you can choose your own.(Click on our Links page for
recommendations). Also for more wedding photos on our website, click on this link: Wedding Gallery
If your budget permits, you may want to consider having a video photographer capture the whole experience on DVD. Both visually and audibly
this will serve as a lasting memory to treasure and relive in years to come. Video photographer, Louann D'Amico, is one of the most experienced
and reasonably priced, video photographers in the area. She also has a special affinity for the garden, having spent many hours filming at
Rosewood, capturing all the sights and sounds. Your coordinator can make arrangements with Louann, or you can contact us directly. She is a busy
lady, working for many of the local wedding services, so making an early booking with her is recommended.

Music adds to the romantic atmosphere of any outdoor wedding. A battery operated boom box can be used with traditional wedding music or
couples can supply their own CD. Coordinators will take care of arranging this, or if you are making your own wedding arrangements you can
bring your own boom box, or rent ours. Electricity is available in the Gardens if needed. Couples often choose to have a musician play at their
wedding. Photos show some of the musicians who have played at the Gardens.

Other wedding service firms and chapels listed on our Links Section, also have Garden Wedding Packages. Depending on the individual website you
should click on either their "Garden Weddings" link or "Outdoor Weddings" link. It is important to remember that all wedding packages can be
fully customized to suit, and every coordinator listed on our Links page will be able to provide a quote for a wedding package at the Gardens.

Even with close ups, a good photographer
will use the beautiful backdrops of
Rosewood Gardens to great advantage.
The wedding photographers , whose
beautiful images are featured here, have
managed to capture memorable moments
for the bride and groom, plus they have
used the seasonal bloom and foliage of the
Gardens to create artistic compositions.
LADIES: This may seem trivial, but planning footwear
for a Garden Wedding can make a great deal of
difference as to how comfortable you will feel on the
day.
This applies not only to brides and bridesmaids, but to
guests as well. Although stiletto heeled sandals and
shoes are very fashionable at present, they may not be
the most appropriate footwear for grassy or gravelled
surfaces. A well chosen wedge heel, low heel or a
pretty flat sandal, often proves that you don't have to
sacrifice elegance to be more comfortable.
